In Bali an important belief is that the elements of nature are influenced by the spirits. The principal Gods are Brahma,the god of creation, Visnu the god of providence and Siva the god of solution.
These three gods move the world through an unending process of birth, balance and destruction. Man, a microcosm of the world, is subjected to the same process until he achieves moksa(heaven).
One giant eye, is the substitution or representation of the world. The sun, moon and earth together showing the colours of the rainbow. The Rainbow rises up from the collaboration of the three Gods’ powers.
